Happy Christkwanzhanakasoltiramamas!

I haven't updated in a while because I've been distracted by a bunch of things, including trying to translate this site from French. I'm a pretty big Hayao Miyazaki fan, so I'm really exited about the new movie, "Howl's Moving Fortress", which I believe is going to come out this next spring/summer, so In eager anticipation I'm trying to learn every little thing about it.

I had a pretty good Christmas, I got a watch (which I really needed since I Broke my last one) "Conquer" board game, "How to draw Manga: Male Characters" Some colored pencils and art stuff, a sketch book, a book about landscaping from my dad and "Under God" audio book.

As with our family tradition we went to see the lights garden and went caroling. On Christmas Eve we hung out with my married brother and some friends and saw some Christmas home videos from many years past. :)

I hope you had a merry Christmas and will have a happy near year!

Nothing Much new...

This blog was ment to keep in touch with people at home while I was away in the phillipines, but I'm going to try to keep this up as long as I can anyways.

I'm working on that web comic projewct still, and it's driving me crazy! So stuck and looking for a way to go on. I'm trying my hardest to not let myself quit. I'm also working on a new game design project with my bro. Hopefull we can actually finish somehting this time. It's my dream (or at least one of them) to become a game designer at wizards of the coast or something. Maybe someday. :)

Those who know me know I'm a really big anime fan. My three all time favorite movies are "Metropolis" (the 2001 anime, havn't seen the 1930's classic yet), "Spirited Away" and "Grave of the fireflies" I even went to last years local anime convention.

Since I'm broke the only way I can see anime for free is renting it through blockbuster or my library. I've gone through the trigun and Neon Genesis series so far (both were really good) and now I'm in the middle of "Cowboy bebop" a science-fiction adventure series about a rather rag-tag group of bounty hunters consisting of a ex-cop, ex-yakusa(japaneese mafia) and a bankrupt gambler. What I like about the series is you start off knowing a little bit about the charecters, but slowly you learn about where they came from and the story comes together (much the way trigun did).
Also the story doesn't take itself too seriiously and has some quite zany and fun charecters like radical eddy. In fact I think "Jamming with eduard" is my favorite episode so far. :)

A note that Trigun, Neon Genesis and Cowboy bebop (so far) are pretty good, but not for kids (probibly ages 13-14 up)

Well, I gotta go. Take care!
